I can now...

**UPDATE** Heidi is now rolling all over the place. Front to back, back to front, she's a crazy little roller.
...Sit up! But I do sometimes lose my balance and fall. My boppy pillow helps me on the days I'm a bit tipsy from all of those new foods that Mommy mixes up for me to eat. Bananas rock!

I also flip over on to my stomach but I haven't quite figured out how to flip over to my back.

Daddy takes a lot of pictures of me. But that is OK, I do not mind.

Heidi and Santa

Heidi got her picture taken with Santa today. Everything went well until Santa's assistants went a little crazy with the stimulation to make Heidi smile, then the crying began. This is just a picture I took. Of course the picture taken by Santa's photographers is copyrighted and they want $100 for the rights to it with a digital copy. Oh well, I guess Santa has to get paid to feed all of those raindeer.

Heidi updates

*Heidi has been doing very well. Growing like a weed!
*She has been sitting up, with a little less assistance everyday, for quite some time now. I think she prefers that to lying on her back.
*She is still working on rolling over. I think it's true, her chubbiness has gotten in the way of a successful roll over from back to tummy. She did have a few roll overs this past week. Her first was at her friend Cody's house. The other 2 were at home with daddy. She's getting there.
*Crawling....nope.
*Pushing up.....nope.
*Standing.....assisted, yes!
*Teething...nope.
In due time, she will master those as well.
*She is doing a great job with eating her pureed fruits and veggies. I attempted cooking and pureeing some myself. It was pretty easy and has saved us some money!! So needless to say, our freezer is full of baggies labeled with what every little frozen ice cubed veggies that's inside. Her favorites so far are bananas, apples, sweet potatoes and squash. She prefers g.beans over peas any day!! She is such a funny eater. Talks, coos and hums the entire meal. I'll have Mike throw some videos up on here so you can watch. It's so funny!!
*She has her 6 month appointment today. I think today will involve 4 shots again. Dang, when will her poor little chubber legs catch a break?? It will be interesting to see where all of her measurements are. She is currently in 6-9 month and 9 month clothes. It is so fun dressing her in all of her cute outfits.
*She still loves Sesame Street. Watches it everyday. Mama and Daddy can't get enough!@#*$?
*We took her out to the dog park last week. We didn't know what her reaction would be with all the dogs and noise. She absolutely LOVED it. She laughed and laughed! It was so fun and such a relief to see her having a good time. With Mama working at a vet's office, animals are sure to be a part of our lives for a long, long time. She just loves her Libby kitty and Zoey pup.
*She is still sleeping through the night like a champ. She goes to bed around 8:00 and sleeps until 6:30ish. Takes a few good cat naps throughout the day too.

Update

Heidi just rolled over on her own a couple days ago. She hasn't done it since but she's trying. It's hard to turn over with those Michelin rolls. She is also starting to giggle a little. She loves it when people surprise her with a game of Peek-a-Boo! She was letting out big smiles and laughs when her cousin Molly was playing with her. Heidi also got her first taste of apple sauce this week. She will continue to try new foods every week.

Rice Cereal

Heidi started to eat rice cereal recently and seems to like it. I think she stores some of it in her cheeks.

It's Heidi info time!!!!

Hi everyone,
It's about time for an update on Heidi for all of you faithful Heidi-blog followers. (we thank you!)

* Today she had her 4 month appointment. She did very well. She had 5 vaccines. One of them was an oral vaccine and the other 4 were actual shots. She cried, of course, but quickly recovered thanks to a ba ba full of delicious milk!!

* Her current stats are as followed; weight: 16# 12oz (95%) length: 25.3 inches (79%) head: 16.5 inches (74%). The nurse that saw her said that because of her "rollie polliness", she may be delayed in rolling over. This morning she actually made it over to her side, but came tumbling back down on to her back. She's trying and will succeed one of these days.

* She's still doing very well holding her head up. The nurse said that she is doing very well with that, like a 6 month old!! She's such an over achiever!!!

* We started her on rice cereal last week. She's not quite sure what to think of that. It is quite funny watching her and her wild tongue figure out what the sticky textured goop is.

* Her favorite show right now is Sesame Street. She loves Elmo, Murray and his little lamb, Hovahita and Abbey Cadabbey!! She smiles so big when ever they come on TV.

* We walk every night with her puppy, Zoey. Mostly for poor Zoey to stretch her legs and to get a different view other than us making fools of ourselves entertaining Heidi.

* Heidi discovered her thumb last week. That's been a hoot to watch her stick it in, take it out, make unbelievably loud smacking sounds with her mouth. One of these days she's gonna get the hang of it and it won't come out until 5th grade! (right Suzie?? we hope not!!) She still seems to prefer her right hand pointer finger though.

* Her favorite stuffed animals are Morty Monkey, Lloyd Lion and Howard the duck.

* Heidi is going to have some special visitors in a few weeks, her cousin Molly and her Auntie Rori from Arizona. Grandma and grandpa Boehnlein will also be visiting at that time. We can't wait to see them and have some fun!! We will post pictures after their visit!

Be sure to check her flick account for updated and past pictures!!!
Thanks for checking in!

William O'Brien State Park

Aimee, Heidi and I (Mike) drove to William O'Brien State Park on Sunday. We took a little detour to check out my parent's old house in Stillwater. After getting lost we finally found our way through downtown Stillwater and 12 miles from the park. The hiking trails were wide so we were able to put Heidi in her stroller for a 1.6 mile walk/stroll. It was a nice park nestled on the St. Croix River. We will have to come back in the fall to check out the colors. Here are some pictures from that day. You can view them all HERE.
